Obama Still Believes He Has A Mandate

Obama continues to press forward with his progressive, socialist agenda with complete disregard for the wishes of the American people. If you watched the State of the Union address, you know what I mean. He scolded the Supreme Court, ridiculed the Republicans and continued to blame everyone but himself for the condition of the Republic. He mistakenly believes that he has a mandate.

He reiterated his goal of moving forward with health care reform, cap and trade as well as financial reforms. None of which will help America with what really matters, JOBS. The country continues to lose hundreds of thousands of  jobs. The deficit continues to climb at an alarming rate. Still he pushes forward.

His plan to fundamentally change the country is foremost on his mind, even as his party begins to waiver. His ego won’t let him change course. He still believes that the charm, charisma and rhetoric that brought him to power still exists. It doesn’t. He has spent his political clout, along with every dime we have. He is hell bent on destroying the country from within to achieve his progressive ends.

A few days ago he was invited by the House Republicans to speak at an annual policy retreat in Baltimore. There he declared that “I am not an ideologue.” He chastised the Republicans for standing in the way, even when his ideas were in line with theirs. He urged them to meet with him and come up with ideas of their own that he could embrace, although its impossible for a true Republican to even think along the lines of a progressive as Obama. It was televised at Obama’s request, a move that I believe Obama intended to use to try and rustle support from his party. He had no intention of being conciliatory but showed up to bully the GOP and show his authority to anyone watching.

His narcissistic persona and authoritarian attitude is becoming disturbing. He stands to lose everything in the November elections. There is nothing more dangerous than a man with an agenda that has nothing to lose. This is the position he now finds himself in. What will he do now? My guess is that we are about to see a man self-destruct and a political party fall to pieces. The political landscape is about to change in an unprecedented way.
